Love You Forever by Robert Munsch was a book that my mom or dad would read to me almost every night before I went to bed when I was little. It was a very touching story to me and it still is. This book is about a boy and his mom. Every night the mom would crawl up to his bed while the boy was sleeping and say, "I love you forever. I love you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." I have remembered this phrase/line ever since my parents started reading this book to me, and I still remember it to this day.
On every page the boy gets older, but still every night she comes into his room. On the last page, the boy's mother is very old and the boy is an adult. Now, instead of the mother saying that to his son, the son picks up his old, warn down mom and says, "I love you forever. I love you for always. As long as I'm living, my mother you'll be." Soon after that his mother passes away. A page before that one, it shows the son rocking his own baby and saying that same phrase. This book will always be in my memory. When I become a parent I will read my children the same book so they will have the same memory that I had when my parents read me Love You Forever.
