These are some of my favorite books from my mom to read to me as a child:
You are special By: Max Lucado
This book is about a wemmick (a puppet). There is this one very special wemmick and named Punchinello. Every day they would go around and give people stars or dots. Everyone thought that Punchinello wasn’t that good looking or that he couldn’t have any special talents so they would give him dots, but one day he met a wemmick didn’t have any stars or dots. She told Punchinello that stars and dots were not important to her but instead she went to go see Eli every day and she told him that he should too. Punchinello goes to see Eli, and Eli tells him that if he believes that the stars and dots don’t matter then they won’t stick. When Punchinello left Eli said “Remember, you are special because I made you.” Then when he left one of his dots fell off.
I don’t think that I will ever forget this book because my moms use to read it to me a lot. She would read it to me right before bed. She gave me this book when I was 7and a hole bunch of books from the same author Max Lucado.
Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse
This book is about a mouse that gets a purple purse from her grandma when she goes shopping. She is so proud of her purse and she even brings it to school. She gets in trouble with her teacher from opening in during class and having play a song. Lilly got very, very, mad and wrote a note to her teacher but it wasn’t a nice note it was a bad one. When Lilly gets home she sees that her teacher left a note in there for her and said that today was a difficult day. Tomorrow will be better. She felt very sorry that she had given that note to him. So she told her mom and she made a treat for her to give to her teacher to say that she was sorry. Then the next day they had a party in the class room and Lilly was very happy that day.
I will always remember this book because my mom gave it to me and we would try and read it every night. I also got to go to a play in Menomonie with my mom, sister and grandma. Although I liked the play I liked to read the book better.

I love the illustration in this book, it is amazing. I really like this book because it goes right throught the hole day starting with him waking his parents up, then ending with him having to go to bed.
